| March 10, 2008 Re: 08-X-20081, S 2513 – Environmentally Preferable Cleaning Products-1A Request for Proposal for Green Products Within the last two weeks, the New Jersey Sanitary Supply Association was alerted by two of its members, Scrubber Doctor in Neptune and Spruce Industries in Garwood, of specifications in the bidding proposal for above legislation that called for specific packaging and color of the chemicals in packet form. This specification was clearly written in deference to one chemical manufacturer and went beyond the intention of meeting standards set by Green Seal, ECP or EPA. Download a full PDF of this alert |

December 2007 - Green Seal Releases Proposed Revised GS-37 Standard for Public Comment 6.21.06 - Earlier this spring, Connecticut Governor M. Jodi Rell issued an Executive Order (E.O. 14) directing all state agencies to buy and use "cleaning and/or sanitizing products having properties that minimize potential impacts to human health and the environment." As such Connecticut joins the growing list of state and local governments that have established green cleaning purchasing policies. |
